Love

We've heard so much of the "merging of two hearts into one as if no force on earth can separate them…" crap.

Now, before you merge into someone else's heart, let's try and merge you into yours. Think about it. Do you really love yourselves for who you are or do you still feel that those tiny flaws of yours cover up the beautiful person that you are?

Read along if your answer was the latter.

If you have perfectly aligned eyebrows and a freakishly wonderful jawline and you still fret about that silly pimple on your nose, I'm telling you, you are damn arrogant. Even if you don’t have proper eyebrows or a knife for a jawline, you have something to replace those with. Trust me when I say this, there are people out there who would wish to be like you. I know this sounds completely absurd. Like, why would someone ever want to be you, right? Fine, hear me out.

I bet that you've at least once seen someone and thought of how beautiful, talented or well-behaved they are but never gathered up the courage to go tell them. What proof do you have that you were never on the other side? None. Ok, I know that you think that the odds of you being the one admired are pretty low but how sure can you be that you never were?

We all know that we are not perfect and that nobody is. Yes, we've got flaws, we've done mistakes but only if you zoom out from those can you see how beautiful you actually are. If you keep magnifying into others' lives and wishing to be like them, you'll be left back wishing. Instead just shift the lens and start looking at you, the real you, the you that you love to be.

If you just spend a little time know yourselves, accept the person you are, accept your flaws, accept your misaligned teeth, accept your pasts and move on , only then can you truly love yourselves .

How do you expect others to love you if you don't love yourselves ?
