On our third date,
I'll take you to my school.
I'll lead you in,
and wait outside.
You'll see the pink walls
that smells of crayon and dirt,
You'll see children
Walking in lines
Sitting in rows.
If you meet my teachers,
if you ask about me,
they'd tell you
Oooh batch of 2016,
that child was a mess.
My math teacher would tell you,
She drew sunflowers
While I taught trigonometry.
If you turn left to see my physics teacher
He'll tell you,
that girl thought prism was a toy.
She kept saying
Pink floyd the wall,
For god knows why.
If you see my chemistry teacher,
Staring at clarks table,
as if an element eloped
from the periodic table
don't disturb him
Let him be,
But I'll tell you,
I thought chemistry
rhymed well with mimicry.
My English teacher,
If you see her
Would ask you,
Why are you asking about the girl,
Who thought has and have
works the way she wants??
My tutor
If he remember I existed
might recall,
she had good grades for a bad student.
If you see my Hindi teacher,
Please run away,
She'll remind you
Of all the impositions m supposed to submit.
She might ask you to remind me
Gagan mathlab sky, not water.
My PT teacher,
If you describe my appearance
May recall,
Ohh that tall girl??
She'd always wear worn out socks,
But she was quite a runner.
To his left,
You'll see Aayaamma,
She'll tell you
that girl barely left the toilet,
for a young child
She hid a lot.
If you see the librarian,
she'll recall me,
Oh the one who has our
"Alice in wonderland"
She never returned it,
She told me she gets jealous,
When someone else touches it
Looked at it or asked for it.
Someone told me
She writes poems now,
Strange, she'll say.
Smile to her,
she deserves a smile.
Walk out,
Turn left.
There's my classroom,
Second last bench
Window seat,
Look under the desk,
Can you read?
