Think Straight.

Hardly do I read non-fiction books. All these years of my life, scarcely have I touched the non-fiction, let alone self-help. Yes, the book that I ought to talk to you about at this moment is by Darius Foroux. Think straight by Darius Foroux was the one I ended up picking, as I needed a break from the fictional ones.
There are not many books that I read in one go. So,  ecstatic to say that this was such a one. The first one from non-fiction. What attracted me to this International best seller was the illustration on the book. Fell for it, and here I am writing the analysis, which I never thought I would be.
Isn't that enough for a start?  Yes, I guess. Let's just dive into the summary of this exact 100 pages title.

The book begins with a quote by William James which says " IF YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR MIND, YOU CAN CHANGE YOUR LIFE".
Each topic of this book is divided into many chapters. The initial lesson starts with a story of a medical student who contemplated suicide. He was dealing with Anxiety and hallucinations and believed there was no way out of it. But once he started to rationalise the concept of suicide, he kept those thoughts at bay. Now, what if I tell you that this young man's name is William James, one of the leading Psychologists in America, whose quote you just read above. That's exactly what the first chapter deals with, taking control of our thoughts, titled ' You Become What You Think'
The next chapter that I loved reading was the twenty-third one. Not that I didn't enjoy the rest, I liked all of the chapters equally well, but I loved this one. This particular lesson tells how being unconventional can change our life drastically. Here the author conveys how we deter ourselves by narrow and conventional thinking. He also says that we think and do things conventionally because that's ' how it's done. I felt this one like anything. That's when I realised anything can be done in our way too. We don't always need to be right in others' eyes.
This book holds many chapters with vivid themes. Not like the ones which carry one single theme with different words and meanings all along the way. If I am asked to cite some of the best ones, those will be 1 'From Chaos to Clarity' which depicts the idea of living in the present.
2 'Life is not linear', 3 'Take time to reflect', 4 'Don't live with Regrets', etcetera.

About the author, Foroux is an entrepreneur, blogger, and podcaster. His blogs focus on life, productivity, business while his podcast known as The Darius Foroux Show has hosted multiple "Thought" leaders. He also is the co-founder of a Laundry technology company.

To sum up, this work of his teaches us how to master the thoughts of our mind. Foroux says that people possess the choice of what they think, however people rarely use it.
ONCE THE MIND IS BROUGHT IN CONTROL, WE CAN REVOLUTIONIZE EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIFE.

Good work!
