Webinar Report

On 21/11/2020,  we the students of first year functional English batch of Brennan college conducted the second session of our webinar series named 'ECRITURE'.
At exactly 11 am, the webinar was been started. Ms Fathima, a first year english student led the event.
      Then Namratha, a first year english student delivered the welcome speechand introduced the guest to the audience, this was followed by the presidential adress of Mrs Smitha, the english department head. Then the session was set for the chief guest, Mrs Indu Menon, a prominent novelist, short story writer, screen writer and sociologist.
      
       By 11:30 am the guest began her  talk, she started speaking about power and how it influenced the society. And then about politics, and the relationship between art and politics. She even talked about how ones politics influence thier writings.

After her talk, the guest inaugurated our blog named 'KRITHI' and appreciated the students for their effort.

Then it was the time for the students to interview the guest. This was the most interesting part as the students were ready with interesting questions and the guest was very frank while answering each questions.

After the question answer session, the IQAC co-ordinator of Brennan college,Dr Unnikrishnan sir felicitated the ceremony. Then Fathima called upon our class tutor Mr Lalith  to speak a few words. He spoke about Indu Menon' s short story named ' Janaffres' and then thanked the guest for addressing the gathering.

The session came to an end with the vote of thanks by Rana Fathima, a first year english student.

Everyone really enjoyed the session and dispersed with a sincere hope that such webinars would be conducted again.
